Provides acquisition subject matter expertise and analysis on functions of program management and DOD acquisition. Assists program managers in developing, implementing, and revising program strategy, documentation, tracking program status, evaluating operational and technical alternatives, performing risk assessment and managing integrated product teams.
Provides expertise on the factors that influence cost, schedule, performance, and risk. Provides expert analysis and recommendations using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Develops and manages all components of a project’s schedule from the design phase through implementation. Interprets project requirements and converts them to a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
Ensures effective communication between technical and programmatic functions. Coordinates the development of project status reports that are generated from the project’s schedules. Develops schedule risk models and performs in-depth schedule risk analysis. Keeps management informed of key issues and changes that may impact expected business results.
- BS or BA in a related field
- Minimum 10 years combined experience in DoD acquisition management, program management, and/or contract management
- Experience with MS Project, Milestone Professional, Primavera and Open Plan
- Approximately 25% travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Expertise with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Critical Path Methos (CPM) scheduling, EVM performance reporting and analysis, schedule and cost integration, and schedule contingency management
