Plans and executes standard reliability engineering tasks such as the development of reliability predictions, reliability growth curves, test planning and test execution. Prepares Hazard Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect (FMEA) Reports and risk assessments. Conducts product qualification testing including the drafting of formal test plans/procedures. Records and/or reports test results.
Provides quantitative assessments of reliability improvement and failure trend identification. Conducts analysis of existing maintenance and failure data to assess the reliability performance of aviation and missile systems.
- ABET-accredited BS in engineering
- Minimum 3 years related experience
- Knowledge of reliability engineering standards and test methodologies
- Knowledge of failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) and failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS)
- Approximately 25% travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Experience using reliability growth models including the AMSAA PM2 model, Duane model, and the CROW models
- Experience conducting failure analysis and/or Failure Review Boards
- Some knowledge of software reliability principles
