Serves as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Analyst supporting AMRDEC managed weapons systems. Supports case development and execution of the FMS programs. Coordinates and develops all Security Assistance related activities, to include ensuring that Letters of Request (LORs) and Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) are processed/completed within the constraints and guidelines established in the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM). Communicates effectively both orally, and through excellent technical writing skills. Makes informed decisions based on an in depth analysis of raw data and technical reports
Manages and executes Security Assistance programs within the confines of governing regulations and the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and Foreign Assistance Act (FAA). Prepares briefing materials on programmatic/technical topics and presents briefings during FMS Program Management Reviews (PMRs) as required. Utilizes excellent verbal and written communication skills. Provides technical advice and assistance, and serves as technical authority for total package fielding of equipment and other services related to the FMS program and AMRDEC mission.
Researches reliability and maintainability issues/concerns of the FMS customer and formulates plans necessary to effectively evaluate the health of existing aviation and missile items through the analysis of Unit Level Logistics - Aviation (ULLS-A) maintenance records. Maintains data systems used for evaluating the performance and reliability of aviation fleets; identifies specific problem areas, determines the impact of those problems, develops proposed solutions, and formulates cost and schedule estimates for implementing the solution.
- BS in related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in FMS/Security Assistance
- Knowledge of applicable FMS regulations, as well as U.S. Army policy and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- About 25% Travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Knowledge and experience in performing life and repair data analyses based on field data
- US Army aviation maintenance experience
- Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) experience
