Provides technical support to Reliability Availability and Maintainability Division programs. Interfaces with maintenance, strategic, and operational planners to continuously monitor the maintenance, operation, readiness, development, acquisition, and support of Army Aviation Programs. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of program support.
Identifies specific maintenance actions, policies and procedures impacting aircraft availability and unit readiness. Guides efforts and changes maintenance practices, or requirements, as needed. Evaluates aircraft cost and performance information to assess the impact of proposed changes to maintenance procedures. Supports the development of aviation and logistics efforts to enhance maintenance operations, development, and exploitation of Conditioned Based Maintenance applications for rotary-wing platforms.
- BS in related discipline
- Minimum 9 years related experience
- Advanced understanding of the operational and maintenance requirements associated with aviation systems
- About 25% travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Experience commanding/leading AVIM (Aviation Intermediate Maintenance) unit
- Maintenance Management/Logistics experience at the Brigade or higher level
