Quality Engineer - Aviation
Quality Engineer manages all quality related aspects of project support for technical issues and QMS related issues. Perform quality support of projects in all aspects Serve as POC for quality issues for internal and external customers Provide support and direction to Quality Control Inspections Establish data collection plans and quality plans for projects Manage corrective action process and serve as facilitator for continuous improvement actions Manage non-conforming material process to ensure timely resolution to issues Provide support for manufacturing and engineering functions in regards to workmanship standards and interpretations Able to identify, lead, and facilitate Continuous Improvement activities Strong Organizational skills Able to multi-task Strong communication skills (written and oral) Experience with Lean Six Sigma Principles
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Participate, research, review, and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specification, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. External interactions with vendors, customers, contract managers, program managers and top corporate managers will be required Must be trustworthy – will handle confidential information routinely Effective oral and technical written communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate complex information to others as well as to present information in front of a group. Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc. Ability to follow a process. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
- Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to analyze information to make decisions and select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation Must be able to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies, write routine reports and correspondence, and multi-task. Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista Aviation, Inc.’s goals. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, understand and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems. Strong analysis and practical problem solving abilities. Strategic thinking and commercial awareness. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with strong organization, project management, and leadership skills, preferred. Ability to understand electrical health and safety legislation the local, state, and federal levels as it pertains to work.
Bachelor Degree in a technical engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment in a Quality Engineering role or 10 years related experience with ASQ Certification(s) or equivalent in Quality Management or Engineering, preferred A&P License Preferred
